DUTIES

The primary responsibility of all culinary staff, including the utility staff, is to provide the highest quality of service to our guests at all times. Responsibilities of utility staff include assisting with kitchen cleanliness, sanitation and safety; coordinating with shift supervisor and/or the executive chef on posted daily cleaning duties; and monitoring the kitchen and dining area for unexpected sanitation, safety, and organization issues that may arise.

Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment in the pot-washing area
Clean pots, pans, and other culinary equipment
Empty trash cans, break down boxes, and police the dumpster area; clean trash cans as needed
Sweep and mop in designated kitchen areas
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen walk-ins
Assist culinary staff with special functions when called upon, which could include delivery of food and supplies to functions in other facilities
Schedule may vary to meet the needs of the client
Stock orders received from purveyors as needed
Report all malfunctioning equipment to the shift supervisor or Executive Chef
Responsible for kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in are described by posted cleaning schedule. Any discrepancies will be reported to shift supervisor and/or Executive Chef
Responsible for documenting daily sanitation pot sink log
Report directly to the shift supervisor or Executive Chef
May be assigned other duties as required by the shift supervisor and/or Executive Chef

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to follow work assignments both orally and in written form
Have good visual and communication skills
Must be willing and capable of meeting the physical demands of the position, such as reaching bending, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.
Able to record information accurately to the daily cleaning schedules
Flexible and willing to work according to meal requirements
Knowledge of industry standards regarding sanitation
Must be able to operate the gas pumps in order to refuel vehicles
Must be willing to work in other areas when needed
Must develop a knowledge and understanding of policies, notices, rules, and regulations
